Journalist Tina Kelce was killed today when a sports car jumped a curb and collided with her. Kelce, best known for investigate reporting for sports magazine TCOS, was 36.

Kelce, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, graduated from Kansas Tech in 2016 with a degree in journalism. She received a great deal of recognition for her work on Tech’s newspaper, most notably when she wrote an article exposing a years-long cover-up of sexual harassment by members of the Tech football team. Kelce was hired by CWNO and wasted no time making her name known, contributing to notable pieces on Evelyn Carter and ZeusX founder Peter Arlington. In 2025, Kelce departed CWNO and took a position with TCOS. She started as a correspondent on college football and basketball before becoming a weekly contributor to the Rossy-nominated sports show “The Story of Sport”. She began to appear regularly on sports talk shows, often appearing to tell the stories of star athletes, dissect the business of sports, and uncover the dark side of the world of professional athletics.

Just one month ago, Kelce wrote her last investigative article titled “Do or Die: Life in the RTC”, an exposé of an underground basketball league that has been gaining attention over the last year and a half despite efforts to stay off the public’s radar.

Kelce is survived by her parents, Travis and Janine, and her sister Caroline.
